Overcoming drug and alcohol addiction takes grit and determination. Many people with addiction are uninsured or underinsured; and therefore, the high cost of addiction treatment or rehab is unaffordable for most. Moreover, It is not unusual for an addict to be unemployed, impoverished, or even homeless.
