About TMS Institute of Great Plains Mental Health
Spirit – Mind – Body
TMS Institute of Great Plains Mental Health Philosophy
TMS Institute of Great Plains Mental Health desires to create a space where people are not ashamed, feel welcomed, and feel heard. Paula Whittle, PMHNP, and Dr. James Sorrell believe that mental health should be considered as a primary driver for one’s overall wellbeing, both physically and mentally. At TMS Institute of GPMH, we want to make sure your connection to the world you live in is addressed – to change the order to … SPIRIT, MIND, and BODY. As a result, we believe when people are treated in this order they feel better, more at peace, and much stronger to face life’s challenges.
Most importantly, our providers are handpicked to ensure they believe in our mission.

Changing Lives With NeuroStar TMS Therapy
At TMS Institute of Great Plains Mental Health, we believe there is a better way to treat depression and other mood disorders. While medications and psychotherapy are often necessary, many people don’t benefit from these methods of treatment or can not tolerate the side effects of medications. We’re passionate about what we do, and take great pride in transforming the lives of our patients. Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is the most technologically advanced form of treatment for depression and other mood disorders.
Dr. James Sorrell is a board-certified psychiatrist, and is TMS therapy certified through Neuronetics, the manufacturer of the first TMS therapy to receive FDA-approval, Advanced NeuroStar TMS. Dr. Sorrell believes that treating at the source, offers his patients a much-improved outcome, and therefore a better quality of life to be experienced.
